Why do you volunteer with Scouts?
We volunteer for scouts because we value the character our children have developed by participating in the Scouting America program, beginning as Lions and continuing into Boy Scouts (for our oldest sons). Through Scouts our children have learned to be Trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent and these are lifelong skills that will help them in college and into adulthood!

I am the Advancement Chair for the Pack. I have been since 2015. My son was in Pack 136 from 2001–2006. My grandsons have been in the pack since 2014.


Volunteer Spotlight: Eric Spencer
I was inspired to volunteer when my son joined the pack in Kindergarten. I started as a Den Leader with Barb Tippins and then graduated to help with the pack. I get to spend time in the outdoors away from the hustle and bustle of daily life with my son and build memories that I hope mean as much to him as mine with my father in Scouts.
