How Pack 136 Works
Pack 136 is made up of individual dens, each grouped by grade level. As Scouts move through school, they progress through the Cub Scout ranks: Lions in Kindergarten, Tigers in 1st grade, Wolves in 2nd grade, Bears in 3rd grade, Webelos in 4th grade, and Arrow of Light in 5th grade.

Pack and Den Meetings
Throughout the year, Scouts work toward earning their rank by participating in monthly den meetings, pack-wide activities, and family-led adventures at home. Each rank builds on the last—encouraging personal growth, outdoor skills, teamwork, and leadership along the way.
→ Pack Events: We follow a pack-wide calendar, typically featuring one major activity per month, such as campouts, service projects, or celebrations.

→ Den Meetings: Each grade-level den meets about once per month to work on adventures that help Scouts earn their rank.

→ At-Home Activities: Some achievements may require family participation at home—because you are Akela (your Scout’s guide and leader outside the pack).

Together, these activities help your Cub Scout advance in rank each year while having fun, building character, and learning new skills.
Expectations
For Parents
Cub Scouting is a family program, and your involvement makes all the difference! Here's how you can support your Scout:

-
Make sure your Scout attends Den and Pack meetings regularly.
-
Be familiar with the Cub Scout Handbook for your Scout’s rank.
-
Help your child complete adventures at home, and update their progress in Scoutbook.
-
Attend Pack Meetings and volunteer to help with events or activities.
-
Consider joining the Pack Committee—we ask each family to attend at least 4 meetings per year (one per quarter).
-
Be honest when signing off on achievements. “Do Your Best” means trying hard—not being perfect—but Scouts should genuinely earn what they achieve.
-
Remember: many everyday family activities can count toward requirements if you’re aware of them!
For Scouts
Cub Scouts are expected to wear their uniforms to all Scout functions unless told otherwise by a leader. At meetings and events, Scouts are encouraged to:

-
Always Do Your Best
-
Be helpful, respectful, and responsible
-
Respect people, nature, and surroundings
-
Follow the Cub Scout Motto and live by the Scout Law
