Fall Pack Hike (Sept 13)

  • Jun 27
  • 2 min read

There's no better way to experience Cub Scouting than getting outside together! Join Pack 136 for our annual Fall Pack Hike as we explore the trails, enjoy the crisp autumn weather, and spend an afternoon with fellow Scout families.

This hike is designed for Scouts of every age and ability. We'll divide into groups by rank so younger Scouts can enjoy an age-appropriate adventure while older Scouts tackle a longer trail. Along the way, Scouts will build confidence, practice outdoor skills, and experience one of the core principles of Scouting—developing an appreciation for the outdoors.

Whether this is your first Pack event or you've been hiking with us for years, we hope you'll join us!

2026 Event Details

Date: Sunday, September 13, 2026

Time: 2:00 PM

Location: To Be Announced

We'll announce the hiking location and parking details as soon as they're finalized.

What to Bring

Every Scout should bring:

  • Water bottle

  • Small snack

  • Comfortable backpack (optional)

  • Sunscreen

  • Bug spray (recommended)

  • Small first aid supplies (optional)

Please wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes, as our trails are typically unpaved and may include uneven terrain.

What to Expect

We'll begin by gathering as a Pack before splitting into hiking groups based on Scout rank. This allows each group to enjoy a hike that's appropriate for their age and abilities while giving older Scouts an opportunity for a longer adventure.

Family members are encouraged to hike alongside their Scouts and enjoy the afternoon together.

What to Wear

Scouts should wear:

  • Pack t-shirt

  • Comfortable shorts or pants

  • Closed-toe walking or hiking shoes

Be sure to dress for the weather, as September afternoons can still be warm.

Questions?

If you have questions about the hike or what to bring, please reach out to Pack leadership.

We can't wait to hit the trail with everyone for another great Pack adventure!
